Lives in Vancouver, BC
Artist Statement
Gerry Teahan is a sculptor working and living in Vancouver, BC. He studied sculpture for three years under the guidance of David Kestenbaum and George Rammell at Capilano University. Much of his technique is inspired by these two artists, however, the subject Teahan reflects upon in his work is entirely his own. Tehan was an avid a sports player and taught high school band for many years, and these experiences, have informed his figurative works which can be seen in the movement and form of the figures. Apart from his sculptural work, Teahan is also inspired by the antics of Caneman, a zine that reflects the good works performed by Caneman.
