Lives in Vancouver, BC
Cameron McLellan’s practice centres around the built environment, exploring architectural aesthetics and material function through painting, sewing and mixed media. Underscoring the work is the changeability and varied histories of the city, often using quotidian materials through a language of abstraction, as work is built up, dismantled and reconfigured. Recent exhibitions include Mónica Reyes Gallery, Empty Gallery, the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery (UBC). McLellan holds an MFA from the University of British Columbia and lives and works in Vancouver, BC.
