Eccles, Paul
Lives in Abbotsford, BC
Paul Eccles’ work examines landscape as a site for transformation, tension, and memory. Using layered paint, line and observational fragments, he constructs compositions where forms are simultaneously revealed and obscured. He is interested in the interplay between organic growth and structural order, and in how visual complexity can evoke a sense of movement, uncertainty and depth. His paintings are an ongoing exploration of place as something fluid, unstable, and emotionally resonant.
