Artist Statement 

Nancy Boyd is a Vancouver artist and educator who has shown in Canada, the US and Japan. Her mixed media work is increasingly abstract, highly tactile and frequently infused with figurative or metaphoric allusions. The introduction of somewhat volatile media, like encaustic, amplifies the unpredictable, the almost 'alchemical' aspect of the new work.
