Delaney, Sarah

Sarah’s work and research engage with time, the persistence of memory, phenomenology, narratology and storytelling, vitality, mapping, and sociocultural anthropology. She is drawn to transformative processes that shape environments, particularly signs of decay and wear produced by both natural and manufactured conditions. These traces offer insight into past interactions, providing contextual substance and a sense of place. They serve as markers of temporal passage, pointing to the instability of human positioning within time.

Sarah holds a BFA in Visual Art from the University of Victoria and a Diploma of Interior Design from Vancouver College of Art and Design. She has participated in juried artist residencies, such as PADA in Barreiro, Portugal, Duplex AIR in Lisbon, Portugal, AADK in Blanca, Spain, Casa Lu in Mexico City, and Arquetopia Foundation outside of Oaxaca, Mexico. She recently launched Spur Projects, an artist-led curatorial project that provides an opportunity for exchange and pop-up exhibits of contemporary work.
