Artist Statement

Enda Bardell paints landscapes and skyscapes in watercolour, outdoors on location or from reference photos from places she has explored. Her work is devoid of living creatures and manmade objects except for freighters in English Bay, which she finds fascinating. Her work is about the feeling of having been there and recapturing the experience. She wants the viewer to be captivated by that same emotion from the source of inspiration whether it be a dramatic sky, majestic mountain or entangled forest
