To Meet the Moon

Art Rental & Sales at the Vancouver Art Gallery is pleased to present
To Meet the Moon by AR&S Featured Artist Celan Bouillet

Shadow Walk, 2024, Celan Bouillet, Acrylic on canvas, 48" x 36”

In To Meet the Moon, Celan Bouillet creates dreamlike landscapes shaped by memory, myth, and moonlight. Inspired by Edo prints and botanical illustrations, her mixed media paintings feature vast florals, animated rocks, and shifting light that transforms familiar terrain into the surreal. Minimizing the human figure, Bouillet invites viewers into quiet, layered worlds where nature takes centre stage. Each work is a meditation on wonder and wandering—a search for connection between past and present, home and adventure, and something just out of reach.

Join us for an artist talk on Friday, June 20th at 6pm in the Showroom. Details here.

Celan Bouillet is a mixed media painter and installation artist. Her upbringing in the American South influenced her love of spinning a good tale, textiles, and sublime landscapes.
