Artist Statement

Carole Sinclair’s mixed media work is informed by her background as a fashion designer. It is a spontaneous and personal expression in which the process is fundamentally abstract. Sinclair works in a non-static way. The juxtaposition of diverse media and found objects interact on the given plane, creating a transition between the natural and sometimes industrial, allowing the piece to evolve and find its own form.
